The 2019/20 season has come to a bitter end with the FA announcing that all GRASSROOTS football leagues are finished for the season – a real sensible approach and one I support, LIFE is worth more than Football. I would like to pass on a huge thank you to every volunteer at the club who has made it possible for the teams to function in one of the best environments at Grassroots level.
To all the Managers, Coaches, Players, Committee and supporters, thank you for your commitment. Many of you will be disappointed to miss out on finals, league winners medals etc but as the saying goes ‘If you had fun you won’.
The hard work starts now planning, fund raising and tendering our facilities so everyone can GO again… hopefully in June!!!! As with every season, we are working hard to create funds to make the CLUB facilities even better for next season, if you think you could support with labour to build a dug out or two, erect a shelter or have an idea to make the club better then please contact me. However mad you think your idea is – get hold of me.
Stay safe everyone in this turbulent time and I hope to see the old and some new faces at the club for the new season.
