With a few players out today we had to put players out of their comfort zone, which they did without fuss, as they realised it was for the team.
In the first quarter we started a bit star struck as the North Curry players being bigger than us, so we sat off and didn’t move the ball quick enough and went down 2-0. However, in the second quarter it was much improved, unfortunately we did get caught once on the break and went a further goal behind resulting in us being 3-0 down at halftime.
In the 3rd and 4th quarters the girls were just short of fantastic, they were trying to block the ball and had several attacks in their half.
The main objectives were to try the mid block and to attack high and wide, which they tried so hard to do, it showed how effective they were as we failed to concede any goals in the second half. The game finished 0-3, which was a brilliant final score.
I was very pleased with everyone’s performance today, well done. A special congratulations to managers player, Milly-May for doing everything that was asked of her today and having the right attitude!
