Today the Under 10 girls went to Ilminster for a triangle fixture with the hosts and Weston Mendip. We played Weston Mendip in our first game of the season and lost 11-2, the girls have worked really hard since then and the progression has been great. This was evident today with a very spirited and determined squad, we played 9 v 9 for the first time but the girls adapted well and everyone put in their best performance of the season. Our captain of the day Amelie Davis played a great captains role by being vocal and encouraging to her team mates all the time.
Ella and Sofia also did well in goal and out on pitch with some good team play resulting in team goals. The results were BLAFC 1-0 Ilminster and a very pleasing, 2-2 draw against Weston Mendip, which was an amazing improvement since we last met. The girls faces after the match were a picture. One proud manager today.
Players of the match today were Eszter and Ella. Well done both!

Under 13 Girls
A great performance from the U13 Girls today at home against Watchet. Against a very good team we played some great attacking football and, combined with strong defending, ended up with a comfortable win.
