In training we decided to change our formation to work the ball from the back by using 3-2-1 (Christmas tree) formation, they worked hard at practice so we decided to put it into practise in our game against Winscombe on Saturday.
A few nervous moments conceding a goal at the start of the game, but we soon got into the groove with the new formation paying off with Arya and Amelie pressing really well, resulting in Amelie scoring her second ever goal in a new position. Arya really worked hard in her captains role. We went in after the second qaurter 3-1 with two further goals from Millie-May after the break. The pressing from our wingbacks and forward play resulted with two of the best team goals that I have seen. I can’t express how proud I am with their hard work on Thursday and in the game; they did everything we asked them to do and more and got a 6-1 win which has been well deserved 👍❤️🖤👏
