It was the Under 11 Girls first game of the season, playing at home against Swiss valley Rangers. A large majority of our players were Year 5 playing up and had not played in a league match before. We had a debut performance by Kayla Bishop, who did brilliantly. The game kicked off and you could see there were a few nerves, but both sides were playing some good football. Swiss Valley took the lead after some great battling, Lydeard never gave up and really started to pass the ball around, and find some gaps. Eventually a nice through ball to Cornelia where she lobbed the keeper, made things level. We did have further chances but it finished 1-1, a great result . Well done also to our two players of the match Cornelia and Rose.
