LYDEARD ALL READY TO GO AGAIN

After a very successful first season playing within the Toolstation League, the Bishops Manager Brett Andrews is looking to top the 6th place finish and challenge for promotion in the coming season. Andrews speaks of his desire to take the club to another level to support the clubs committee who have worked tirelessly developing the facility to allow the clubs Mens First Team to take another step forward. The erection of Floodlights and the enclosure of the main pitch at the beginning of last season has seen an addition of a 50 seater stand alongside the superb playing surface. Andrews comments that the facility definetly lends itself to the Toolstation Premier League.

For the players the hard work starts on Tuesday 27th and Thursday 29th June when pre season training resumes at Darby Way between 18:00 and 20:30. The club welcomes new players along to challenge for a place in what the club hope to be another historic season in it’s development. Following the departure of it’s current keeper, the club is actively inviting goalkeepers to attend pre-season. Anyone interested in the position should contact Brett (07980 697872).

Off the pitch, the club are holding their annual Pitch Fest on from Friday 7th July through to Sunday 9th July. Live music is arranged for the 8th along with activities for all ages throughout the weekend. For more information please look up Bishops Lydeard AFC on Facebook or contact Gary Brown on 07956 682367.
