Men’s First Team Result: Bridgwater 2-2 BLAFC

Bridgwater Reserves 2-2 BLAFC

Lydeard found themselves down to ten men after 15 minutes following the dismissal of Charlie Wilson for a wreckless challenge. Minutes later Jack Adams put Lydeard ahead with a screamer from 25 yards out which went in off the angle of the post and cross bar. Bridgwater levelled on 35 after some sloppy defending and took the lead through a Connor Noble own goal, cruel deflection which left keeps Lawton stranded.
Lydeard soaked up the pressure in the second half, Butler, Clunnie and Andrews worked tirelessly is midfield and contained the Bridgwater flow. On 70 Lydeard equalised through a Tune Govier own goal.

Due to awful weather forecast all day, today’s soccer camp has been POSTPONED. It will run as normal for the rest of the week (it will run on Friday to make up for today’s postponement). Apologies for late notice, we were hoping the rain would ease! Please spread the word! Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow!! ☔️

Minehead Ladies Presentation

Minehead Ladies made a presentation to Bishops Lydeard Ladies tonight to mark their first ever game. Minehead Ladies run by Christina Storey; a former Lydeard player, are a new side which have made huge progress and proud to have played their first friendly fixture tonight against the Ladies Reserves. We wish them ever success for the future and thank them for their gift! image image image image image image image image
